Six members, including our President Debbie Young, ventured into the unknown last weekend, despite torrential rain!
Along with Debs, her fellow DIY'ers were; Ruth Dunston, Emma Bannister, Paula Yeomans-Hill, Georgia Roberts & Jayne Barnaby. The trip was arranged after our very first informal meeting, back in January.
The group set off early on Saturday morning, in heavy rainfall with a heavily packed card and made the two hour journey to Edale.
On arrival, battling against rain wind and each other, they pitched their two tents and enjoyed a picnic lunch. Wrapping up warm five set off for a hike up the Edale waterfall. The rain eventually stopped early afternoon, allowing the intrepid adventurers to enjoy the spectacular scenery.
After a two hour hike, they stopped at the local pub for a well earned pint! Followed by a meal out later that evening!
All spent an enjoyable dry night, with lots of fun and laughter
